TNT Sports has announced a new multi year agreement to broadcast the LIV Golf League across the UK and Ireland from January 2026.

The deal will see all 14 events of the 2026 season shown live across TNT Sports channels and its streaming platform discovery+.

Global Coverage From Riyadh to the UK

Live coverage begins February 4 to 7 at the ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh, played under lights at Riyadh Golf Club. The 2026 season features 14 events across ten countries and five continents, including the league’s first visit to South Africa in March, along with stops in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, the USA, Spain and the UK.

TNT Sports will act as LIV Golf’s UK and Ireland broadcast partner, with on site presentation planned throughout the season. Further details on scheduling will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Four Day Format and Star Players

From 2026, LIV Golf events will move to a four day, 72 hole format. The season will feature 57 players across 13 teams, plus five wild card entrants. The field includes Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Joaquin Niemann, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Tyrrell Hatton and Tom McKibbin.

Reaction From Broadcaster and League

Scott Young, Executive Vice President at Warner Bros Discovery Sports Europe, said the addition of LIV Golf strengthens TNT Sports’ premium live sports portfolio and brings more top level golf to subscribers.

LIV Golf’s SVP of International Media Rights, Orjan Olsson, described the partnership as a landmark moment for the league in a key sports market, promising enhanced storytelling and greater access for fans.

Growing Global Presence

The season continues from Saudi Arabia to Australia the following week, returning to Adelaide after crowds of more than 100,000 in 2025. Founded in 2021, LIV Golf launched its first season in 2022 and has quickly become a major presence in the global game.

The agreement adds LIV Golf to TNT Sports’ existing rights, which include Premier League football, UEFA competitions, the FA Cup, Premiership Rugby, UFC and MotoGP.

LIV Golf is bringing elite golf back to free-to-air television in the United Kingdom after striking a broadcast partnership with ITV for the 2025 season.

Starting with round two of the season-opening LIV Golf Riyadh presented by Ma’aden, golf fans in the UK will have unprecedented access to LIV Golf’s thrilling competition, with 41 rounds of live golf coverage across 14 tournaments throughout the season on ITVX.

The 2025 season begins at Riyadh Golf Club from 6-8 February and will conclude with the Team Championship finale at LIV Golf Michigan from 22-24 August.

OTHER LIV VENUES

In between, LIV Golf will make stops in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Mexico City, South Korea, Washington DC, Dallas, Andalucia, the UK, Chicago, and Indianapolis, making LIV Golf the world’s first truly global golf league.

ITVX will serve as the primary platform for LIV Golf, delivering live and full coverage of every round of every tournament, with selected live broadcasts on ITV1 and ITV4.

The weekly highlights show produced by LIV Golf will also be broadcast on ITV4, ensuring fans never miss a moment of the action.

The landmark agreement with ITV reinforces LIV Golf’s commitment to expanding its global reach and bringing the sport to new audiences in the UK.

It also signals the return of live golf to free-to-air television in the UK, providing a new and dynamic viewing experience that aligns with LIV Golf’s commitment to attract new audiences and grow the game of golf.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the sport’s biggest names compete in LIV Golf’s innovative format, featuring 54-hole tournaments, shotgun starts, and the unique combination of individual and team-based competition.

Golf fans looking to watch live coverage of The Open Championship and the Women’s Open, along with a variety of other events staged by the R&A, will have to continue to pay out for a Sky Sports Golf package after the satellite channel extended its TV licensing deal with the R&A for the next five years.

The announcement continues a partnership which started in 2016 when The R&A’s professional and amateur championships first featured as part of Sky Sports’ coverage of live golf, which includes the men’s and women’s major championships and tour events from around the world.

Proceeds from the agreement will contribute towards The R&A’s commitment to invest £200 million in golf over ten years and support development of the sport internationally through its participation initiatives, governance activities, advocacy for sustainability and staging of inspirational golf championships.
