Mizuno have introduced the latest additions to the Mizuno Pro range, the Mizuno Pro M-13 and M-15, part of the all-new Modern Series. Sitting alongside the existing Signature Series (S-1 and S-3), the Modern Series represents a fresh evolution in forged performance.

It’s been engineered for players looking for a touch more speed, forgiveness and playability, while maintaining the unmistakable Mizuno Pro shaping and feel.

The Modern Series debuts with two distinct models, each created with a specific type of ball striker in mind. The M-13 brings tour-preferred proportions and a faster, more consistent flight profile, while the M-15 offers higher launch and additional forgiveness that blends smoothly through the set.

Both retain the craftsmanship and forged heritage that sit at the heart of every Mizuno Pro iron.

The M-13, successor to the Mizuno Pro 243, combines traditional head shaping with modern construction to create a set that offers more speed through the long irons and greater precision in the scoring clubs.

Its three-part forging story adapts performance across the bag while preserving a consistent feel and look from 4-iron to wedge.

In the 4 and 5 irons, a Pocket Cavity Grain Flow Forged construction merges Chromoly 4120 with 431 stainless steel, enabling Mizuno’s thinnest ever Contour Ellipse Face, just 1.37mm thick, around 35% thinner than the Mizuno Pro 243.

M-13 close up

This innovation unlocks higher ball speeds and distance while keeping the responsive feedback expected from a forged iron.

Moving into the 6, 7 and 8 irons, a Micro-Slot Grain Flow Forged construction with a face 0.3mm thinner than its predecessor increases flex and delivers controlled speed gains with a mid-to-high COR performance.

From 9-iron through to gap wedge, a single-piece 1025 Elite forging prioritises precision, control, and the renowned soft impact feel that has defined Mizuno’s short irons for decades.

Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology, combined with a copper underlay and full cavity ABS badge, fine-tunes vibration patterns and delivers a clean, tour-ready appearance. The Triple

Cut Sole introduces sharper leading edges and bevelled trailing relief, ensuring dependable turf interaction from every lie.

Completing the design, a Nickel Chrome Satin Brush finish reduces glare and reinforces the premium aesthetic.

The M-15, successor to the Mizuno Pro 245, offers a fully integrated progression of performance from long iron to wedge.

Each section of the set is designed with a specific purpose, creating smooth transitions in both shape and feel throughout.

At the core of the design lies the Contoured Ellipse Face, the latest development of Mizuno’s CORTECH technology, which defines the 4–8 irons. This multi-thickness forged construction, supported by a hollow body design, optimises ball speed and consistency while preserving the soft, responsive feel Mizuno players prize.

To improve launch and stability, tungsten weighting of 51g in the long irons and 50.3g in the mids has been strategically suspended within the head, helping produce straighter, more forgiving performance.

The long and mid irons pair a Grain Flow Forged 4135+ Chromoly face and neck with a stainless-steel back piece for additional rebound. The 9-iron to gap wedge transitions into a partial hollow 1025E Grain Flow Forged HD body with a stainless back, a construction that emphasises control, precision and manoeuvrability.

Refined sole geometry with added bounce encourages a cleaner entry and smoother exit through the turf, maintaining consistency across all course conditions.

M-15 Close up

Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology and copper underlay reduce sound pressure around the 6kHz frequency, producing the soft yet solid strike that Mizuno players instinctively recognise.

Finished in Premium Nickel Chrome Satin, the M-15 brings a contemporary look with tour-informed shaping.

Together, the M-13 and M-15 mark the start of the Mizuno Pro Modern Series, joining the Signature Series (S-1 muscleback and S-3 cavity) to complete the Mizuno Pro line-up.

While the Signature Series continues Mizuno’s most traditional tour iron lineage, the Modern Series introduces new-generation solutions in speed, stability and shot-height control, all within the classic, compact profiles trusted by elite players.

The result is a clearer, more refined Mizuno Pro structure, one that offers golfers the freedom to match head design to playing style without ever losing the forged identity that defines Mizuno.

COSTS

Mizuno Pro-M-13 4-pw £240 per iron

Mizuno Pro-M-15 4-pw £240 per iron

Mizuno, renowned for its relentless pursuit of forging perfection, have  unveiled the Mizuno Pro S-1 irons—an exciting new addition to its celebrated Signature Series.

Crafted for the discerning player, the S-1 is a bold step forward in Mizuno’s mission to deliver precision engineering, peerless feel, and continuously refined performance.

TRADITION

The Mizuno Signature Series reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to producing meticulously designed clubs that balance tradition with the needs of the modern golfer.

The Mizuno Pro S-1 follows the introduction of the hugely popular Mizuno Pro S-3 irons in January, offering players another standout option within the family.

The Mizuno Pro S-1 irons are pure muscle backs, designed for players who demand ultimate precision and workability.

At the core of the Mizuno Pro S-1 is Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged HD process, carefully executed in Hiroshima, Japan.

Forged from a single billet of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, the S-1 delivers the unmistakably soft and responsive feel through impact that Mizuno is globally known for.

The inclusion of a copper underlay further optimises this experience, subtly refining vibration patterns to produce the purest, most satisfying feedback.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Developed and tested with input from tour professionals, the S-1 incorporates a Channel Back Design that redistributes mass for greater vertical stability and a more consistent centre of gravity.

This design works seamlessly with Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology, which fine-tunes the feel by adjusting the club’s vibration frequencies to deliver even more responsive feedback.

Building on Mizuno’s continuous drive for improvement, the S-1 introduces a re-engineered sole that has been precisely shaped to optimise turf interaction.

WHAT’S NEW

Compared to its predecessor, the Mizuno Pro 241, the S-1 sole features a flatter camber, a sharper leading edge, and an additional degree of bounce.

The result is a club that offers greater forgiveness for shallower attack angles while reducing the chance of digging—giving players the confidence to commit to every shot.

Visually, the S-1 has been crafted to appeal to the modern, competitive golfer. It features a compact, tour-preferred profile with a square toe design, a thin topline, and straight edges that convey discipline and purpose.

The Soft White Satin finish not only complements its sophisticated appearance but also serves to reduce glare at address.

ELITE

The Mizuno Pro S-1 joins the Mizuno Pro family as a purpose-built performance option, offering specific design and playability benefits that strategically broaden the existing line-up.

Inspired by the demands of elite players and refined through continuous incremental innovation, the S-1 represents yet another step forward in Mizuno’s pursuit of golfing excellence.

For golfers who prioritise feel, control, and consistency, the Mizuno Pro S-1 is more than just another iron—it’s an expertly engineered weapon in the Mizuno Pro arsenal.

Mizuno have announced the launch of the JPX 925 Forged irons, accompanied by the striking JPX 925 Forged Black.

These new additions seamlessly blend cutting-edge technology with the unmistakable Mizuno feel, delivering precision and versatile performance for the modern golfer.

At the heart of the JPX 925 Forged series is the CORTECH Design with its revolutionary Contour Ellipse Face.

This advanced multi-thickness face profile optimises ball speed across the entire surface, ensuring explosive performance and forgiveness even on off-centre strikes.

Combining both the forgiveness of the Hot Metal series with the refined feel of their single-piece forged irons, the design offers unparalleled versatility.

The innovation behind the Contour Ellipse Face required the development of entirely new construction methods, showcasing our commitment to pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence.

True to our reputation for forging excellence, we employ our Grain Flow Forged HD process at our Hiroshima facility.

The long irons (4-7) in the JPX 925 Forged series are crafted from Chromoly 4120, a material known for its exceptional strength and malleability, enabling higher ball speeds and easier adjustability.

In contrast, the shorter irons (8-GW) are forged from 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, a material that delivers superior control, precision, and the legendary buttery feel Mizuno players expect.

Together, these materials ensure a flawless transition through the set, offering the perfect balance of speed, precision, and feedback.

Adding to their versatility is our innovative Triple Cut Sole design, meticulously engineered for enhanced turf interaction across all lies and conditions.

The leading edge is gently bevelled to ensure a clean entry into the turf, while the hard-cut trailing edge facilitates a smooth exit for uninterrupted ball contact.

This design, paired with optimised weighting, gives players remarkable control and confidence, even in the most challenging playing environments.

WHEN WILL THEY BE AVAILABLE

Aesthetics play a vital role in the JPX 925 Forged series, which debuts with two stunning finish options.

The Traditional Satin Chrome provides a timeless, classic look that will appeal to traditionalists, while the Forged Black offers a bold, contemporary option with reduced glare, exuding modern sophistication.

The JPX 925 Forged series is a testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation and perfection.

Designed for golfers seeking speed, precision, and feel, these irons redefine expectations in the forged category.

The JPX 925 Forged and JPX 925 Forged Black will be available at authorised retailers and online from Monday, 3rd February 2025.

Mizuno has unveiled the next generation of its JPX irons, the 925s, which build on the successful foundation of its predecessors by promising ‘exceptional distance, unmatched feel, and unrivalled fitting options’.

The new JPX925 Hot Metal range comprises three models, each tailored to meet the unique needs of different golfers – Hot Metal, Hot Metal Pro, and Hot Metal High Launch – although combination sets of irons from two or all of the models can be custom-fitted to suit player preferences.

The range benefits from a new colour-coding system on the back of each clubhead, simplifying the differentiation of models. This system features a white marker for the Hot Metal, black for the Hot Metal Pro, and blue for the Hot Metal High Launch, allowing for quick and easy identification.

JPX925 Hot Metal

Built for maximum speed and consistency, this model features the innovative CORTECH Design and Contour Ellipse face, which provides unparalleled distance control.

RRP: £150 per iron, £900 (5-PW)

JPX925 Hot Metal Pro

For golfers seeking a slimmer, more refined profile, the Hot Metal Pro combines advanced technology with a compact design. The inclusion of Chromoly 4140M, a high-strength material known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, allows for a thinner face and a pliable hosel, enabling precise fitting.

RRP: £165 per iron, £990 (5-PW)

JPX925 Hot Metal High Launch

This model is designed to offer maximum launch and spin, making it ideal for golfers who need help elevating their shots. It features the same cutting-edge technology as its counterparts but in a wider, easier-to-hit package.
RRP: £150 per iron, £900 (5-PW)

The JPX925 Hot Metal Irons also benefit from Mizuno’s latest technology, such as:

  • The CORTECH design and Contour Ellipse Face introduce a multi-thickness face profile that is 30% thinner than its predecessor, enhancing ball speed and ensuring maximum speed retention throughout the impact zone.
  • Multi-material construction incorporates tungsten weighting in the 4-7 irons, positioning the weight low to facilitate a higher launch and a lower sweet spot.
  • Seamless one-piece cup face geometry of the irons, which maximizes the rebound area for unparalleled ball speed across the entire face.
  • Variable sole thickness enhances the overall face flex area, contributing to increased CORAREA (Coefficient of Restitution), while the balanced stability frame improves control without sacrificing forgiveness.
  • Tour-preferred vibration and sound, thanks to Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology and Acoustic Sound Ribs.

ON SALE DATE

JPX925 Hot Metal Irons will be on pre-sale from September 5 and available for purchase from September 19.

Mizuno’s new Pro 241, 243 and 245 irons are now available for fittings at the brand’s network of Swing DNA centres across the UK, with assembled custom sets scheduled to ship from early February.

The series includes a muscle back blade (Pro 241), a tour cavity back (Pro 243), and a hollow body construction head (Pro 245), but the new irons have some changes in aesthetics and technology that have made the irons even more desirable.

Mizuno Product Director Chris Voshall said: “Everything about the new Mizuno Pro 241/243/245 is pushed to the extreme – from technology to more streamlined playing profiles. Each model has become better at its specific job, more distinct, yet able to be blended when required.”

David Llewellyn, Mizuno’s Director of R&D, added: “Other manufacturers have widely adopted Mizuno’s work to elevate the performance of elite player’s irons. What now sets Mizuno apart is the ability to apply precise manufacturing techniques learned at our long-standing forging plant in Hiroshima, Japan, to increasingly complex designs.”

PRO 241 IRONS
The Pro 241 is a pure shot-makers muscle-back with mass accumulated centrally behind impact. A more obvious tapering of the upper blade potion delivers an ideal trajectory through the set – with flighted long irons and penetrating short irons.

Thinner, tour preferred topline: Refined from prior blades through both weight movement within the head and adjustments in final manufacturing.
More compact short irons: A distinct shortening of the blade length in the shorter irons was a direct request from the majority of Mizuno’s tour players
Increased bounce angle: Increased by a degree in the long irons and 2 degrees in the scoring irons – for improved turf interaction.
Full Satin Brush: A less reflective finish in keeping with the overall modern appearance.
Set make up: RH: 3-PW / LH: 4-PW.
RRP: £1,200 for 8 club set

PRO 243 IRONS

The Pro 243 is more compact and precise than its predecessor, yet faster from the face and more satisfying at impact. Improvements in performance only made possible through the long-term relationship between Mizuno’s R&D team and its exclusive Grain Flow Forging plant in Japan.

RRP: £1,200 (8 club set).

PRO 245 IRONS

The Pro 245 is measurably quicker again from the face than the Pro 243 but also easier to launch. A complex hollow body construction and internally suspended Tungsten weight packed into a sleek chassis.  The 245 showcases more than any model how rapidly Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged process has evolved.
