PING has introduced the new s259 wedge series, its latest generation of tour-proven specialty wedges designed to deliver increased spin, control and versatility for golfers of all abilities.

Available for custom fitting and pre-sale now at authorised PING retailers worldwide, the s259 range features 25 loft and grind combinations across two finishes – Hydropearl 2.0 Chrome and Midnight – offering one of the most comprehensive wedge fitting line-ups on the market.

“The s259 wedges are already winning on Tour and continuing to find their way into players’ bags around the world,” said John K. Solheim, PING CEO & President.

“Players love the clean look, versatility and the ability to launch and spin shots with precise control.

We’ve refined our grinds and expanded loft options to help more golfers achieve proper gapping and improved short-game performance.”

Spin and Control Where It Matters Most

The s259 wedges feature wheel-cut grooves and a precision-machined face, combined with advanced face-blast technology to increase surface friction and maximise spin.

Higher-lofted models (54°–62°) use tightly spaced MicroMax grooves for enhanced greenside control, while 46°–52° wedges are optimised for consistency and distance control on full shots.

Extensive player testing has shown the wedges perform exceptionally well in both wet and dry conditions.

“Our wedge-face technology is designed to retain spin and control in real-world playing conditions,” added Solheim. “That consistency can provide a genuine short-game advantage.”

The Hydropearl 2.0 Chrome finish is hydrophobic, helping repel moisture at impact, while the Midnight finish offers a darker, anti-glare appearance (available exclusively in the SS grind).

Tour-Inspired Feel and Shape

Each s259 wedge is cast from 8620 carbon steel and features a larger, re-shaped elastomer insert behind the face to deliver a soft, tour-preferred feel.

Refinements to the head shape, hosel transition and full-length bottom groove create a clean, square look at address, while progressive hosel shaping helps the wedges blend seamlessly into PING’s iron line-up.

Centre of gravity placement varies by loft, ensuring lower-lofted wedges are optimised for speed and gapping, while higher-lofted models offer more visual offset to inspire confidence when opening the face around the greens.

Custom fit comes with different sole grinds

Six Grinds to Suit Every Swing

PING continues its commitment to custom fitting with six distinct sole grinds (S, H, B, T, W and E), including refinements to the popular E and T grinds and the addition of new 50°W and 52°W options.

  • S Grind – Versatile mid-bounce option suited to a wide range of players and conditions

  • H Grind – Inspired by PING WRX, ideal for softer turf and steeper swings

  • B Grind – Low-bounce design for shallow attack angles and firmer conditions

  • T Grind – Lowest effective bounce for maximum versatility on tight lies

  • W Grind – Wide sole offering maximum forgiveness for steeper players

  • E Grind – Eye2-style sole for consistent performance from bunkers and tight lies

“Finding the correct sole grind is key to unlocking wedge performance,” said Solheim. “That’s why custom fitting is so important, whether you’re a tour professional or a club golfer.”

Updated WebFit Wedge App

PING has also updated its WebFit Wedge app, allowing golfers to quickly identify the best s259 wedge setup for their game.

The browser-based tool requires no download or registration and is accessible via QR code in pro shops and at ping.com.

New Dyla-Grip for Greater Shot Control

The s259 wedges are fitted with PING’s new Dyla-Grip, featuring subtle hand-placement indicators to assist with gripping down, shaft lean and face manipulation.

The grip is ¾-inch longer with a reduced taper, designed to enhance feel and control on finesse shots around the green.

A record setting MOI for a PING driver makes the new G440 K the company’s straightest and most forgiving model to date, while delivering faster ball speeds and CG shifting adjustability for added distance.

The G440 K driver is available for custom fittings and pre order at authorised PING golf shops around the world beginning today.

“We’re hearing a lot of great comments about how forgiving and straight the new G440 K driver is, which ultimately leads to more distance for the golfer,” said Solheim. “It’s fun to hear that feedback, and we’re excited to get the K into the hands of more golfers.”

“Our record setting combined MOI in the G440 K driver is primarily attributed to the new carbon crown and sole called Dual Carbonfly Wrap, which provides significant weight savings that are optimised elsewhere in the club.

ping g440 k
The new G440 K driver has a heavier back weight

Among the key advancements from our previous highest MOI driver, the award winning G430 MAX 10K, is a heavier adjustable back weight that positions the CG location for higher ball speeds and the ability to influence ball flight by moving the weight into one of three locations.

Refinements to our T9S+ face structure provide higher and more consistent ball speeds across the face, leading to greater distance.”

G440 Driver Family Grows

The G440 K driver joins the G440 family of drivers including MAX, SFT and LST, each custom fit and custom built to suit a wide range of skill levels.

“The K is a great addition to the G440 driver line, providing another custom fitting option loaded with innovations,” said Solheim. “We encourage golfers to experience a PING driver custom fitting with one of our expert fitters around the world who have been trained in our fitting techniques and are equipped with our fitting tools.

They will analyse your launch monitor results to help find the G440 driver that best fits your game. Whether it’s the new K, the MAX, the LST or SFT, there is a PING G440 driver for every golfer.”

Dual Carbonfly Wrap Technology

Weight savings from the carbon crown and sole in the G440 K driver are reallocated within the design, mainly into a high density tungsten back weight. This drives the CG lower and deeper for faster ball speeds and helps achieve the record setting MOI for a PING driver.

In addition to being four grams heavier than the G430 MAX 10K, the back weight is movable to one of three positions including draw, neutral and fade, allowing golfers to shift the CG and achieve their desired results.

“The combined MOI of the G440 K driver surpasses our previous mark and continues our pursuit of engineering the highest performing drivers in the world,” said Solheim.

“It’s a remarkable accomplishment for our engineering team to offer golfers this new level of forgiveness with the benefits of weight adjustability.”

Fast, Forgiving Face

The proven T9S+ forged face of the G440 K driver continues to evolve and delivers faster ball speeds for longer and straighter drives.

The combination of a shallower face and refinements to the VFT shaping provide more flexing, retaining consistent ball speeds across the entire face, especially in the high heel region.

Spinsistency, PING’s variable face curvature innovation, helps ensure consistent spin while retaining ball speed.

“We continue to rely on our proprietary T9S+ face technology as it gives us the highest performance and consistency for overall flexing and ball speed retention,” said Solheim.

“We don’t sacrifice speed for forgiveness. Golfers can have both. The G440 K driver is a prime example of that.

It provides exceptional ball speed, delivers extremely tight dispersion and launches high with optimal spin. That translates to longer and straighter drives.”

PING G440 K
The G440 K gives you longer and straighter drives

Sound Design

Joining the Ti 811 body to the carbon crown and sole of the G440 K driver while ensuring a pleasing sound required PING’s engineering team to develop a composite crown bridge and sole ribs.

These stiffen the crown and sole during impact, resulting in a solid and slightly muted impact experience.

“With the addition of the carbon sole, we knew the sound characteristics of the G440 K driver would be different than previous models,” said Solheim. “Through finite element analysis, sound testing and player feedback, our engineers developed the lightweight crown bridge and sole ribs to combat any undesirable frequencies. The G440 K driver has a very pleasing and confident sound.”

G440 K HL High Launch

The lighter overall weight of the G440 K HL driver is an ideal build for slower swing speed golfers who do not generate sufficient club-head speed and ball velocity from traditionally weighted clubs.

Custom engineered and custom built at 46 inches with a lighter back weight of 28 grams, ultra light shafts including PING Alta Quick 35 and 45, and a lightweight grip, the result is a lower overall system weight.

This allows golfers to swing faster and generate more ball speed for higher launching, longer carrying and straighter tee shots. Available in 9, 10.5 and 12 degree lofts.

Continuing its focus on engineering irons to fit the needs of all skill levels, PING has launched the i240 irons.
A players-style design that combines shot-making precision with score-saving forgiveness. The i240 iron is now available for custom fittings at authorised PING retailers around the world.
“The new i240 irons are engineered to appeal to a wide range of skill levels,” said John K. Solheim, PING CEO & President.
“They provide precision and control with a great feel, so they technically fit into the ‘players iron’ category.
But they also offer the MOI and higher launch of a game-improvement iron. We’ve designed it with more of a true cavity-back look to inform golfers of its forgiveness properties.
They are a great solution for avid players who like the look, feel and performance of a blade-style iron but can also benefit from added forgiveness when they aren’t as precise with their ball striking.
They pack a lot of performance into one model.”

i240 TRUE CAVITY-BACK DESIGN

A more traditional cavity design signifies the perimeter-weighting benefits of the iron while maintaining a clean, players-style look.
The cavity badge and activated elastomer technology allow PING engineers to save significant weight, which is re-allocated within the clubhead to position the center of gravity (CG) lower for more distance, increased control and higher launch.
The weight savings also increase the MOI for more forgiveness, most notably in the long and mid irons.
“The i240 iron sits in the middle of our iron offerings, so it requires us to balance a variety of performance attributes that appeal to a wider range of golfers,” Solheim said. “We’re seeing tighter dispersion and higher launch throughout the set that we know all players can appreciate.
We’re also providing more distance in a way that is predictable and repeatable to ensure it meets the precise shot-making needs of the best players in the world.”

PLEASING IMPACT EXPERIENCE

The multi-material badge, which is 8.5 grams lighter than the i230 badge, is comprised of a chrome-plated ABS with carbon fibre inlay.

The activated elastomer insert supports the face, helping to provide more efficient energy transfer across the entire face and a softer feel and pleasing sound.

TOUR INSPIRED

Balancing the needs of the top players in the world while expanding the performance features to attract a wider audience of golfers required a careful approach to the overall design.
The face technology has been updated with a return to fewer and wider grooves, a request from tour pros in search of more spin from the fairway.
The engineers also maintained the player-preferred size and shape for distance and trajectory control.
The i240’s sole design is similar to previous designs, with a rounded lead edge and ample bounce to promote smooth turf interaction for clean and solid strikes.
“Meeting the needs of our tour pros and better players is important to the success of the i240 irons,” Solheim said. “We continually seek the players’ feedback.
The groove technology is a perfect example of us learning from them. They’ve reacted favorably to the new design, including the added forgiveness and higher launch, and we’re seeing more and more go into bags every week.
Their validation of this design goes a long way in giving golfers the confidence that they can also benefit from the i240 irons and shoot lower scores.”

Continuing his exclusive column for Golf News, DP World Tour player Dan Bradbury finds that a few costly errors at the wrong time are continuing to frustrate him, but a top-10 finish at the KLM Open will hopefully kickstart a change in fortunes as the busy summer schedule gets into full swing

I’s funny how golf gives you the highest highs and the lowest lows, sometimes within the same hole. That’s just the nature of it – small margins make big differences. And that was never clearer to me than it was at the Turkish Airlines Open, my first tournament back after five weeks away from competitive action. .

Turkey was a lovely place, and we had a great week. The golf course was in immaculate condition – really well set up. There was a good mix of tough, strong par-fours and some risk- reward par-fives, which I loved. But my game? It didn’t quite show up the way I wanted.

NEAR MISS

I shot one-under the first round, which wasn’t bad. The second round, though, I had morning conditions – easier than the first day’s afternoon slot – and I just didn’t take advantage of it early. I played solid on the back nine, gave myself a lot of chances, but just couldn’t convert. And then came the final hole, which I’ll remember for a while.

We finished on the 10th hole that week due to the two-tee start. Normally a par five, it was playing as a 500-yard par four. Water all down the left, trees on the right, and water short of the green. The pin was tucked left, so missing it left was dead, and long was no good either. I hit a perfect drive and left myself 200 yards in over water into that tucked pin. I knew a par would likely make the cut. Bogey maybe still had a chance. Double, and I was definitely out.

So, I played safe — aimed for the middle of the green with a 6-iron, hit a decent shot that just caught the wrong ridge, and ended up with a 45-foot putt. I rolled it too hard, left myself seven or eight feet coming back, and missed. Bogey. Missed the cut by one.

It’s always tough when you’re watching the cutline shift all afternoon. You’ve just got to sit and wait. But that’s the game. The two-tee starts we get every week on the DP World Tour mean that depending on your start, you might finish on a brutal hole or a gettable one. In Turkey, the 10th was a beast to finish on. Other places, like Singapore, the ninth is the tough one, and the 18th is reachable. It adds a layer of complexity, especially when you’re grinding on the cutline.

TIME WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY

Prior to teeing it up in Turkey I had a month off the tour and spent some time back home working on my game and catching up with friends and family. I also went on a golf trip to Portugal with a few mates. Playing golf with friends definitely reminds me why I fell in love with the game in the first place. It’s different, of course. I’m still competitive – bad shots still annoy me – but I don’t second-guess myself as much. I get the number, pick the club, hit the shot. There’s no overthinking. And sometimes I wish I could take that simplicity into tournaments.

HAD A GREAT TIME WITH THE LADS AT QUINTA DO LAGO

After that trip I had some sponsor commitments in London, including a round at Windlesham Golf Club in Surrey with the guys at MASHIE GOLF, which offers organised events at top venues throughout the UK. After that I managed to squeeze in a game at Royal St George’s, which was dry, firm, and breezy, but still one of the best courses I’ve ever played.

In my amateur days, everything was links golf, but funnily enough, I’ve never really had my best

results on links courses. I love them, and think links is the purest form of golf, but something about the greens — the subtle breaks, the flatness, the lighter grass — throws me off.

I drive it straight, pace putt well, but I struggle to read links greens sometimes.

We don’t get to play much links golf on the DP World Tour – which is perhaps no bad thing given
my results on them – but I’m looking forward to the Scottish swing, with the Scottish Open
at Renaissance, and especially the new tournament, the Scottish Championship, which is being held
at Trump International near Aberdeen. I’ve not played it before, but it looks like an exciting course.

US OPEN QUALIFYING

With a break in the DP World Tour schedule caused by the PGA Championship, I took the opportunity to play in US Open qualifying at Walton Heath a couple of weeks ago.

Walton has been good to me in the past — some of my best amateur results came there. I played solidly. Three birdies and three bogeys over 36 holes, but that’s not enough in a qualifier. I was level-par, but it took seven-under to make the top eight. Sometimes, that’s the way it goes. I didn’t play badly, just not well enough.

With my dad Richard (left) and best mate George (right) at Alwoodley GC at another MASHIE event

Qualifying for The Open itself is something I’m undecided on. The R&A moved final qualifying to a Tuesday, which makes it almost impossible for tour players to manage with the travel involved.

If it was still on a Monday, I’d be in. But with a Sunday finish in Italy, travel on Monday, 36 holes on Tuesday, then off to Munich for the BMW International on Wednesday — it’s just not viable. Especially not when you factor in the costs. Between flights, caddie expenses, and accommodation, you’re looking at nearly £2,000.

It’s tough to swallow when you see Open spots given to winners of obscure events in far-off places where some players have little genuine interest in The Open. Meanwhile, national champions like the Spanish or French Open winners don’t get in. I won the French Open last year and finished 30th in the DP World Tour Rankings, which would traditionally have got me an Open spot, but now it’s just the top 25, so I still didn’t get a spot. It doesn’t feel right.

GAME GETTING CLOSER

The Soudal Open in Belgium was tough. My Thursday round was the worst I’ve had in a long time — just nothing was working. Prep was fine, but when Thursday came, I had no control, no confidence. The ball wasn’t going where I wanted it. I knew I needed something special on Friday
to make the cut— six-under or better — and when I missed a few chances early, that was that.

But I didn’t give up. I still tried to take the positives – my short game was solid and my putting felt okay. After missing the cut, I had a good session with my coach. Sent some videos over, got some feedback. Turns out a few old habits had crept back into the swing. Not ideal, but fixable.

Statistically, I usually gain off the tee and on approach. Lately, I haven’t. I’ve been hitting greens, just not close enough. Short game has improved, putting’s been okay — but not great. Still, I know my game is close. I’ve missed seven cuts this year by one shot, including at the Austrian Alpine Open, where I finished tied 67th on level par, with those on -1 under making the cut. Those are the fine margins we’re dealing with, but the Belgium round was the first time I really wasn’t in it.

ALL CHANGE AT KLM

Thankfully, things turned around at the following week’s KLM Open in The Netherlands, where a top-10 finish has provided me a bit of positive momentum. I got off to a really good start, holing a few early putts to go three under after eight holes, but I gave all those shots back around the turn, and then kind of hung in there to be one-over for the first round. It was pretty windy for the second round – gusting 40mph and it was just a case of limiting the damage and hoping everyone else was finding scoring
as tough as I was.

Thankfully that proved the case and my +3 total for 36 holes was two shots inside the cut mark. I played pretty solidly over the weekend, shooting 71 on Saturday and then fired a 66 on Sunday to move 40 spots up the leaderboard on the final day into a share of seventh. They were tough scoring conditions, so I’m proud of how I dug deep over the those closing holes and got the best possible result out of what was a difficult week.

Dan Bradbury at KLM Open (Photo by Stuart Franklin/Getty Images)

With so many tournaments in Europe over such a short period of time, I decided to drive my own car between events, rather than flying back and forth. It’s been a 3,000-mile-plus road trip through some amazing countryside and I really enjoyed having my feet on ground. Compared
to flying – packing bags, checking clubs, airport stress – driving’s a dream.

Right now, I’m having a couple of weeks off before playing the Italian Open, the BMW International in Germany, and the Scottish Open. It’s a busy stretch, but they’re all relatively close together, so there’s less travel stress and hopefully they’ll bring some better results.

Equipment Editor, Dan Owen Embarks on the Ultimate Golf Pilgrimage to PING’s Phoenix HQ, Where Engineering Genius, Unrivalled Craftsmanship, and Game- Changing Technology come together

Visiting PING’s Phoenix HQ is a golf nerd’s pilgrimage. Unlike the majority of the golf industry, which is focused in California, PING are based in the Arizona desert, and I believe being out of that bubble is one of the reasons why PING clubs are different from everything else on the market.

Rather than being stuck in a golf-centric bubble, PING is an engineering company that solves problems. The solutions just tend to be, but not always, found in golf clubs.

PING HQ is also much more than a collection of buildings. It’s not just a campus. It’s home. It’s a science lab. It’s a proving ground. It’s a museum. And it’s a shrine.

There is a sense of history pervading from PING HQ that you don’t get from other manufacturers. PING first opened their HQ in Phoenix in 1966, and while the campus has expanded greatly, some of it remains the same.

TIME CAPSULE

One thing that hasn’t changed a jot is Karsten Solheim’s office. The founder passed away in 2000, and the office has been left exactly as it was.

While the rooms surrounding his office have been developed and evolved into the bag and accessories creation studio, the office is untouched.

Musty and of an even earlier era, pictures of Karsten with presidents are on the wall, and a selection of his putter designs is in the room.

DAN SAT AT KARSTEN SOLHEIM’S DESK

Karsten was an engineer, and the engineering philosophy still runs through the core of the still family-owned company.

My favourite part of the visit was the archive. While I’m a true believer in modern equipment being the best yet, as an ageing codger, I love looking through the old stuff.

PING’s archives had a bunch of clubs I’d grown up with, and who doesn’t love seeing the Eye 2s, ZING and B60 putters, and even the 1A? But there were prototypes and clubs that never made it to market.

The most interesting was a PING ZING square driver prototype that must have been from the early ’90s, at least ten years before Nike and Callaway came to market with a square driver.

PHOTOGRAPHS IN KARSTEN SOLHEIM’S OFFICE

ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD

While they have engineers creating incredible technology to produce some of the most forgiving equipment in the game, PING also shows reverence for the history of the game.

PING’s gold vault is famous for its professional golf tournament-winning replica gold putters, with names including Tiger Woods, Seve Ballesteros, Lee Westwood and Sir Nick Faldo represented in the heavily packed racking.

DAN IN PUTTER VAULT WITH JOHN SOLHEIM

Regular tour wins get you a gold-plated putter, while a major victory earns you a solid gold offering.

The Doc 17 used by Suzann Pettersen to win the 2007 LPGA Championship must be the most valuable putter in the vault—at least in raw materials! And talking of Lee Westwood, he is the player with the most different winning models in the vault.

ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

While the history of HQ was great, we were there to look at the future. PING’s G series is bi-annualy one of the most important launches in golf.

The G440 is 100% the best version yet. PING creates new equipment by building on what has come before.

They don’t just let the marketers give them a new direction, PING’s engineers build incrementally on the product that has come before.

When you look at a PING G440 driver, you can see the similarities to the G430, but then, when you look closely, you can see how PING has furthered the design.

DAN TRYING OUT THE NEW PING IRONS

Take Turbulators as an example. PING knows they are Marmite and that there are a fair number of golfers out there who aren’t willing to try a PING driver because of them.

But from an aerodynamic standpoint, PING have not found a way to better their performance with a driver, and they look good for around a one-mile- an-hour faster club-head speed than a driver without them.

That’s a trade-off PING is happy to accept for improved performance. They no longer feature on the fairway woods and hybrids because, with the smaller heads, they didn’t make a significant difference to clubhead speed.

Other manufacturers had similar ideas to Turbulators but dropped them. PING’s engineering background doesn’t let them.

PING’s growth in tour driver usage in recent seasons from both staff and non-staff players

is proof in the pudding. The G430 series alone had 145 wins worldwide at the time of our trip to Phoenix.

PING CLUBS OVER THE YEARS

Every other driver in play on LIV has seemed to be a G430 LST over the last two years as players gravitate to what works when they don’t have equipment contracts, and 52 of those wins have come from non-staff players.

Some of the biggest changes to the clubs are ones you can’t see. One of the biggest
issues with adjustable drivers is the adjustable hosel.

The design inherently adds weight in the heel—somewhere that isn’t ideal for maximum performance.

PING has got around this with a new free-hosel system, where the internal chamber is largely cut away.

The adapter still connects the same way—it’s just had a bunch of weight removed internally that can be used to lower the centre of gravity.

And it makes the PING metal woods some of the most forgiving on heel strikes ever, with fast ball speeds across the face.

SAND SAVR

One of the most interesting new models from PING is the BunkR. Most golfers struggle to get the ball out of the sand, so PING engineers set out to solve that problem.

The Eye2 has often been regarded as one of the best sand wedges ever, so that made a good starting point, taking a lot of inspiration from that shape.

Then they added a wider sole with 14.5 degrees of bounce and 64 degrees of loft. The result is a sand wedge that works best when played with a square technique to help golfers extricate the ball from the sand.

Chatting to PING President and CEO, John K Solheim, on Ping’s Proving Grounds test facility, this was the one that had him most excited for his own game.

“I’ve added the BunkR to my bag. It’s changed my life, I’m a happier person! I’m a pretty good golfer, so I didn’t want to like it, but I made a trip to Oakmont where I’m always in the bunkers, and I hit lots of great shots out of the bunkers and now it’s in the bag.

For me it’s a life changing product!

PING’S PLD PERFECTION

There are nooks and crannies with cool stuff going on all over the place at Phoenix. PING
mill their PLD putters onsite, and seeing this intricate process first hand was eye opening.

But as beautiful as the putters are, we were more impressed by the PLD Lab. Putter fittings take place on a perfectly level, 45-foot, 70-ton granite putting surface.

There is nothing else like iit in the world, a literal perfect surface to putt on, while multiple cameras capture data on your stroke and the balls roll.

A custom PLD putter is an expensive bit of kit, but when you see the effort and work that goes into creating it and fitting it, it makes perfect sense.

PING PUTTING LAB

I absolutely fell in love with one prototype model, it’ll be interesting to see if it makes it to market.

There is so much more I could talk about. Hitting balls on perfect turf at the Proving Grounds.

Led Zeppelin playing on the practice ground at Grayhawk. The new shaft lab PING has in house to build prototype shafts.

Draining 30 foot breaking putts at Putting world. PING Man, their proprietary swing robot swinging for the fences.

But coming out of the trip, it was the attention to detail PING take to engineer their equipment that sticks in my mind.

Not doing stuff because that’s how it’s always been done, but looking to create the most forgiving golf equipment in golf for every level of player.

PING Apparel has launched its spring/summer 2025 women’s collection; featuring a large assortment of confidence inspiring garments, complete with final detailing that will leave a lasting impression.

Performance fabrics and coordinated detailing are at the heart of the range, with tipped colours on collars, concealed poppers and decorative mesh tape featured across a number of garments.

As a first for PING Apparel, the new range brings in a fabric story: an ‘Etched Impressions’ jacquard, allowing the subtlety of two tones to come through within the knitted pattern helping to create visual interest.

The breadth of design options within the entire collection, as well as the variety of styling across the polos, mid-layers and bottoms, all contribute to the largest range of women’s apparel that PING has brought to market.

Classic looks with a modern appeal are a primary focus throughout the range, meaning golfers can be confident in building a roster of stylish outfits, from head-to-toe.

Vic Skort

For SS25, PING welcomes three women’s print stories to the lineup, incorporating on-trend blues, chic pinks and aqua greens, as well as a sophisticated navy and white-based palette.

Every female golfer can find their style within this extensive range of performance-driven apparel.

The first print story, Vibrant Bloom, mixes blues and aqua greens with complementary shades to create floral inspired garments – presenting a multitude of classic combinations.

The Neoteric story takes on the classic checked pattern, but subtly blurred for a chicer on-course look. An introduction of ‘Sweet Pea’ brings in a softer pink colour to the collection, offering an air of grace within this incredibly broad array of women’s clothing.

Paradise Garden, a take on the classic colour palette of white and navy, is the go-to for a timeless look. In a print that compliments any golfer, the refined styles within this story can be partnered as a standalone outfit or paired with a pop of colour for a striking look.

Representing each of these print stories is the Bethany polo, which offers a sophisticated and classic look to any golf outfit.

Another standout piece, the Mazzy is a sleeveless dress cut in a new silhouette that combines ultimate comfort with elegant features for a stylish finish.

In addition, the Odetta and Vic skorts – both with a striped elasticated waistband to the sides and back for flexibility – represent even more choice for female golfers.

From the transition into the spring months before the height of the summer, or just for those cooler evenings, the new range features two new ¾ sleeve polos.

The Lindsey, with a concealed popper for a sportier look, and the Lunette polo, which provides an ‘Etched Impressions’ jacquard design, offer ageless appeal and are both perfect for the new season.

Nine highly forgiving models engineered with a face insert influenced by athletic-shoe technology comprise the new Scottsdale putter family, PING CEO & President John K. Solheim announced today.

The Scottsdale Craz-E, Prime Tyne 4, Prime Tyne C, Oslo 3, Anser, Anser 2D, Anser 4, B63 and DS72 are available for pre-order at PING authorised retailers around the world beginning today. The MSRP for each putter excluding Craz-E CB is £250, the Craz-E CB putter’s MSRP is £275. A SuperStroke grip is standard on all models.

The company also introduced the WebFit Putter app, a web-based fitting tool engineered in-house to help golfers find the PING putter that best fits their game. Similar to the popular WebFit Wedge app launched last year, it’s a quick and easy experience to help golfers find a PING putter that will greatly improve their performance on the greens.

“The Scottsdale name has a special meaning to PING, dating back to the early days of the company in my grandfather Karsten Solheim’s garage, where his revolutionary ideas changed the equipment industry,” said Solheim.

“The new line of putters includes some of the highest- performing models in our history, like the standard-setting Anser, and the popular Craz-E model, which was ahead of its time more than 20 years ago with its unique shaping and alignment features.

The new insert technology applied to every model helps ensure a soft responsive feel, with the forgiveness and accuracy to sink more putts.

It’s a great-looking selection of putters, and with the introduction of the WebFit Putter app, finding a PING model to fit your game is easier than ever.”

“We’re also excited to collaborate with SuperStroke on the putter’s grip. Their Tour-proven grip technology adds even more value to the Scottsdale putter family.

It’s pistol shape and reduced taper help ensure performance by providing optimal feel and stability, leading to more confidence over every putt.”

Soft, Responsive Insert, Increased MOI

PEBAX elastomer, a material commonly used in the soles of athletic shoes for its elastic properties, is a lightweight, high-energy-return compound that delivers a soft yet responsive feel in the one-piece insert, leading to improved distance control and consistency.

Impact stability in every Scottsdale model is advanced because of the large face-insert cavities that allow weight savings to be re-distributed farther toward the perimeter to increase the MOI. Optimally placed CG positions help reduce skid and initiate forward roll.

“The combination of the softer insert and higher MOI in every model deliver the preferred feel and ball-speed control many golfers need to improve their consistency on the greens,” Solheim said. “In some of the models, the heads are slightly larger than previous versions to ensure even more forgiveness. We like to categorise these as game-improvement putters.”

Easy to Aim, Fit For Stroke

Every model features subtle color blocking between the top rail and back portion to draw focus to the front of the putter for better alignment. With various head sizes and shapes across the family, golfers can match a blade, mid-mallet or mallet to best suit their eye. The mid-length Craz-E CB build is 37.75” with a 17” SuperStroke grip. All three PING stroke types (Straight, Slight Arc, Strong Arc) and hosel styles are represented in the series to ensure a choice to fit every golfer.

“We continue to encourage golfers to take the time to get custom fit for their putters,” Solheim said. “From finding the best stroke type for your game to matching the putter’s look to your eye, a custom-fit putter can make a huge difference on the scorecard.”

The grand final of the 2024 PING Junior Masters took place at Close House yesterday, with over 70 junior golfers gathering to showcase their skills on the Northumberland club’s championship Colt Course.

In a thrilling and close contest, the winners of the six categories were separated by just three shots, with 10-year-old Havish Aravind from Brampton Golf Club in Cumbria being crowned as the overall champion with a Stableford score of 39 points.

“It is great to see so many junior golfers competing,” commented Westwood. “I’m thrilled to be involved with the series and it’s great to see how it has grown over the past seven years. Jonathan Lupton, managing director at Close House, added: “We are extremely proud to continue this legacy event which started when we hosted the 2017 British Masters Golf Tournament at the club. I would like to thank PING for their continued support of the event which looks to engage more juniors in the game we love.”

This year’s event once again saw PING provide all the prizes at the grand final, helping to make it a truly memorable experience for the juniors involved.

Dave Fanning, PING European Marketing Director, commented: “We’re delighted to support the PING Junior Masters and pleased we can provide support whilst increasing the outreach of junior golf. We applaud the work the team at Close House does on an annual basis to host this fantastic event.”
